Developed with esports pros, the Viper V3 HyperSpeed uses a forward-placed Focus Pro 30K sensor that Razer says tracks cleanly on more surfaces, glass included. Razer HyperSpeed wireless keeps the connection stable in busy wireless environments, and the Gen-2 mechanical switches are rated for 60 million clicks with gold-plated contacts. It can be upgraded to a true 4000 Hz wireless polling rate with Razer’s HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, which is sold separately.
Our verdict: A solid wireless pick for competitive PC players who want a light, pro-tuned mouse and very long battery life, though it runs on an AA battery rather than a rechargeable cell and 4000 Hz needs the extra dongle.
